BRAEMAR
SEASCOPE PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
Commodity
producers and traders form the majority of our customer base and we strive to
provide them with freight market intelligence and commercial support to enable
them to maximize control over their cargo movements and the associated
economics to sell on a delivered basis (or buy on an fob basis in case of
imports).
We
appreciate that this is not always possible and we seek to equip FOB sellers
(cfr buyers) with sufficient freight market information to enable them to
benchmark existing freights to ascertain the real landed cost of their product.
Braemar
Seascope's activities straddle many industries and as such many different
commodities. This enables us to draw intelligence from a broad contact base
whether they be commodity or transport based.
Braemar
Seascope now has a resource dedicated to new project developments. This
supplements Braemar Seascope's day-to-day chartering activity and addresses a
number of factors specific to shipping sensitive to freight movements. This may
include the development of
- freight strategies,
- examination of economies of scale through
employment of larger vessels
measured against port infrastructure
development/capital investments
- competitor shipping profiles/economics
- historical performance of the
freight
market generally and commodity specific
